Posting for the sake of posting, aimlessly, without narrative or strategy, can make you feel like you're moving forward... but in reality you're just going in circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Being an artist is not just about making music. It's about creating a project with direction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you've ever felt like publishing, but nothing happens, this article is for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Launch \u2260 work your career<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A song without a strategy is like a flyer without an event: noise without context.<br>Throwing themes randomly can be useful for experimentation, but it doesn't position you if there is no vision behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What can you do differently?<\/strong><br>Before you launch, ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What does this song say about me as an artist?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How does it connect with the above and with what is to come?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do I have a content plan to support it?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Do you publish on impulse or with intention?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It's easy to fall into the trap of \"it's time to publish something\" or \"if I don't publish, I'll forget about it\". But if you don't do it with real desire, it shows.<br><strong>You don't have to publish everything you do. You need to publish what makes sense.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Do you have a narrative or just single issues?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Growing artists have a common thread:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An aesthetic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recognisable sound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A way of counting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A personal universe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Even if you don't have a disc yet, you can still have an address.<\/strong> The narrative begins with a decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Are you selling yourself short in your own communication?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If your profile looks like someone who is \"trying out\", that is what you are conveying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publishing without context<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Designs that don't represent your sound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generic texts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long and silent absences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All this subtracts. Are you building for the long term?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The difference between being serious and \"trying your luck\" is in how you move when no one is looking.<br>Be patient, keep training yourself, build a community, take care of your catalogue, be constant...<br>All this <strong>no immediate streams<\/strong>but it does build a solid foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It's not about uploading songs for the sake of uploading. It's about why you're doing it, what you're building and how you're communicating it.<br><strong>Are you serious? It shows. And if you're not, it shows too.<\/strong><br>You don't have to be clear about everything.
