ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR MUSIC OR ARE YOU JUST POSTING STUFF?

Uploading songs is not the same as building a career. Posting for the sake of posting, aimlessly, without narrative or strategy, can make you feel like you're moving forward... but in reality you're just going in circles.

Being an artist is not just about making music. It's about creating a project with direction.

If you've ever felt like publishing, but nothing happens, this article is for you.

1. Launch ≠ work your career

A song without a strategy is like a flyer without an event: noise without context.
Throwing themes randomly can be useful for experimentation, but it doesn't position you if there is no vision behind it.

What can you do differently?
Before you launch, ask yourself:

  • What does this song say about me as an artist?
  • How does it connect with the above and with what is to come?
  • Do I have a content plan to support it?

2. Do you publish on impulse or with intention?

It's easy to fall into the trap of "it's time to publish something" or "if I don't publish, I'll forget about it". But if you don't do it with real desire, it shows.
You don't have to publish everything you do. You need to publish what makes sense.

3. Do you have a narrative or just single issues?

Growing artists have a common thread:

  • An aesthetic
  • A recognisable sound
  • A way of counting
  • A personal universe

Even if you don't have a disc yet, you can still have an address. The narrative begins with a decision.

4. Are you selling yourself short in your own communication?

If your profile looks like someone who is "trying out", that is what you are conveying.

  • Publishing without context
  • Designs that don't represent your sound
  • Generic texts
  • Long and silent absences

All this subtracts. Y makes your project look unrealistic and unprofessional.

5. Are you building for the long term?

The difference between being serious and "trying your luck" is in how you move when no one is looking.
Be patient, keep training yourself, build a community, take care of your catalogue, be constant...
All this no immediate streamsbut it does build a solid foundation.

Conclusion

It's not about uploading songs for the sake of uploading. It's about why you're doing it, what you're building and how you're communicating it.
Are you serious? It shows. And if you're not, it shows too.
You don't have to be clear about everything. But if you want to grow, you have to move with intention.
